Welcome to Year 4! We have lots of exciting learning planned this year across a range of fun and engaging topics.

We will start by stepping back in time with I Am Warrior!, where we will learn all about the Romans and what life was like in Roman Britain. In Potions, we will explore different materials, mixtures and experiments through hands-on science activities. We will also discover more about Vikings and Anglo-Saxons in Traders and Raiders, finding out how they lived and the impact they had on Britain.

Later in the year, we will learn about the digestive system and healthy bodies in Burps, Bottoms and Bile. In Blue Abyss, we will explore oceans, sea creatures and life underwater, before finishing the year with Road Trip USA, where we will learn about different places, landmarks and cultures across the United States.

Year 4 children also take part in the national Multiplication Tables Check, so we practice times tables every day to help build confidence and quick recall skills. Regular practice at school and at home really helps children feel prepared and successful.

We are looking forward to a brilliant year in Year 4!
